...to stop a moving train in sf.
walking home from the laundromat, i stepped off the curb to cross the street, but paused when i saw a muni train approaching. across from me, i watched a guy cross the street without even a glance toward the moving train. i almost yelled out a warning, but before i did, i noticed more people following behind him, and the muni slowed down.
the other day, david and i crossed the street at a stop sign, and the muni rang its bell at us (at least we thought that was what was going on), and we skipped quickly across the street. david mentioned it was embarrasing, and i told him to hold his head high.
turns out we were in the right. not sure if i'll test that out anytime soon. seems a little dicey to walk in front of a moving train. i guess when i do, it will symbolize my transformation to being a true city dweller.
