parking solutions

everyone wants to make parking easier; lugging around coins has become too cumbersome in this age of atms and credit cards. the latest entry in parking meters 2.0 comes from the good folks in palm springs, florida who offer an alternative to the classic coin-operated meter.

they stuck a sticker on it!

and then they asked people with precious time AND a cell phone to call a number and share their credit card number, their licence plate number, and probably more information than is required to simply park for an hour. did i mention you have to own a cell phone to use this new feature? they may as well just make the parking meter a phone and get over it :)
