from the moment we decided to call sf Home, we've been curious about the history of the city. before moving, we searched a few local bookstores for a good n' gritty tell-all story of how sf came to be, but came up empty-handed. we're still searching.
and then we came upon this mural in our 'hood. it's a capivating sight. there's an unmistakable narrative woven through each panel, and until i found the artist's web site, i didn't realize the depth of history and culture she was presenting. and preserving.
it's really worth a look: the market street railyway mural
and check out the shots i took of it a week or two ago.
